The program of the AACR Special Conference in Cancer Research: Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy, which took place on October 5-6, 2021, in a virtual format. The conference was chaired by Johanna A. Joyce from the University of Lausanne, Jennifer A. Wargo from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Jedd D. Wolchok from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The program includes plenary sessions on immunometabolism, advances in immune cell engineering, and COVID-19 immunology in cancer patients, as well as keynote lectures on mapping myeloid programs that control tumor immunity and next-generation CAR T cells to overcome resistance.
