Adventure Challenge
Leadership Project
Each group will become adventure facilitators for one day. The group will lead the
class through a series of activities/initiatives of their choice. This will be your
opportunity to lead a group of people in the spirit of fun, adventure and play.
The activities must fit into one of the following categories:
Icebreakers/energizers (Everyone must have one of these)
Cooperation/communication activities
Problem solvers
Trust sequence
In the table of contents you must identify the activity as one of the
above categories
Each group will need one icebreaker/energizer. After that you can be creative
with what activities you use. The activities need to be approved by your
teacher. You must use the entire class period for your project, plan enough
activity so students do not get bored in any one activity. It is best to have a couple
extra activities written in your plan in case you need to fill time. If you need
equipment for your activity make sure your group makes arrangements for that. I
will provide normal P.E. equipment, anything else you will have to provide, make
sure we have necessary equipment.
On the day your group leads you must hand in a typed lesson plan of all your
activities written out and who is leading what activity. You must include
everything listed in the attached Rubric. Each person in the group must LEAD an
activity. If someone in your group is absent on the day of your presentation, you
are responsible for teaching the entire period and having all written work. Anyone
absent on the day of their presentation will lead an activity on their own after all
groups have presented.
You may not use any activities we did in class. Use the books
provided or come up with your own teambuilding activities.
