4. Required Manpower:

Maximum 5 students in^ a^ group

Procedure:

  1. Students will be briefed on general familiarization of standard procedures^ to^ perform^ a

surface patch including^ removal^ of^ defective^ rivets^ without causing further^ skin^ damage

and able to use proper tools.

  1. lnstructor emphasizes the importance of adherence to^ safety^ precautions.
  2. Students read and understand the WARNING and CAUTION notes as stipulated in^ the

AMM / AC 43.14.

  1. Students to carry out marking and cutting of the Skin and Patch Aluminium Alloy plates ( (^) ltems 3 d. and 3 e. above).
  2. Students to mark and show the Skin and Patch plates^ to lnstructor before^ drilling

the Rivet Holes..

  1. Students to complete the riveting of the Patch to the Skin.
  2. .lncorrectly set rivets must be removed without^ damaging the^ Patch and^ the^ Skin Plates.

B. Students carry out proper house-keeping upon completion of tasks.

  1. Required Materials: a. RivetAN4T0 AD4-4 (21 Rivets) b. Rivet AN426 AD 4-4 (21 Rivets) c. Alodine d. Skin Aluminium^ Alloy^ 2024f3^ 0.040'sized^ 6"^ X^ 6" e. Patch Aluminium^ Alloy^ 2024T3 0.032'sized^ 4.5"^ X 5.5'
