Total Hip Arthroscopy involves the surgical replacement of the acetabular cup, femoral head and femoral stem.
-Potential Diagnosis *knee and hip arthroscopy treats degenerative disease (osteoarthritis rheumatoid Arthritis) *Osteonecrosis is a necrosis of the bone secondary to lack of blood flow due to trauma or chronic steroid therapy -Patients present with:
*Check dressings often noting any evidence of bleeding *Monitor daily lab values *monitor neurovascular status
Elevated seating and raised toilet seat *straight chairs with arms *Use an abduction pillow between the legs while turning *Avoid hip flection greater than 90 degrees
