What do you think kept the COLD WAR from

One big reason the COLD WAR did not become a REAL war was the

invention of better weapons. This included jet aircraft, long range bombers,
the atomic bomb, ICBMs, and submarines that carried nuclear weapons.
This increase in the power and size of weapons was called the ARMS
RACE.
