TERM 1
DEFINITION 1 The amount a function changes based on how the input changes. Given an x coordinate you find what the y point changes as you change the x coordinate an infintesimally small amount TERM 2
DEFINITION 2 As the x coordinate of a function gets closer and closer toa chosen point what does the y number get closer to. TERM 3
DEFINITION 3 A theoretical line that will touch a line at any 1 given point. It will show the instantanious rate of change of the curve at that point. The tangent is found by finding the limit of of y as two points are chosenwith delta x difference. with the delta xshrinking to zero. You can find an equation for any tangent on a given function by taking the derivative of the function TERM 4
DEFINITION 4 Is a line that connects any two points on a graph. It shows average velocity. and as the distance between the two points is reduced to zero, the secant begins to match the tangent. Any 2 points on a continuos function will have a point between them where the tangent of that point is = to the secant between the two points TERM 5
DEFINITION 5 The youtube channel that saved my assmany a times studying for calc.
