THE ABC TRAINING PROGRAM
INSTRUCTIONS: (30 pts)
Read and understand the case and make your own analysis.
The facts are given. All you need is to supply the necessary information by answering
what is being asked in the given situation.
FACTS:
The ABC Corporation has been engaged in the manufacture of electronic components for
automobiles for the last five years. The company employees 350 employees and about 30
supervisors and managers. The increase in technology requires that employees be sent to cope
with the increasing demand for updated new products consistent with the demand of local and
foreign customers.
The HR Manager suggested that three of the managers and eight supervisors be sent to the
mother company in Japan for updates in technology on car electronics. The Vice President for
Finance and the Operation Manager opposed the recommendation on the basis of cost-cutting
and lack of personnel to handle the operations while they were asway for two months. They
suggested that technicians from the mother company be invited instead to handle the training in
the Philippines. The cost of training by the mother company would double the cost of training as
they are paid higher allowances and salaries that will be charged to the local company.
PROBLEM/S:
1. Lack of training review analysis Since the company employs huge amounts of
employees and it has unplanned action for it.
2. Absence of Budget Planning A conflict has arisen due to not enough planning on the
cost of the training.

  1. PROCEDURE OF TRAINING Pros: established a systematic approach or proper procedure in training needs and established a what, where, who, when and how for training purposes. Cons: To implement training needs it needs to determine the materials and factors for developing a program to analyze the correct training method.
  2. TRAINING MODULE Pros: Established training modules for every trainee and examined each of them through the module and planned it accordingly. Thus, modules help trainees to be independent. Cons: Planning training module needs to execute an accurate plan and choose a precise development approach.
  3. BUDGET PROPOSAL Pros: Create a budget proposal and training analysis in this way the budget will be a no problem to those trainees. Cons: Budgets are limited and trainees are supposed to be limited as well.
