A few additional notes

Example of a typical week

  • (^) Monday :
    • Lecture in morning
    • Review content at night (vocally and/or summarize in written word). Alone or with friends.
  • (^) Wednesday
    • (^) Lecture in morning
    • (^) Review content at night (vocally and/or summarize in written word) for Monday and Wednesday
  • (^) Friday
    • Lecture in morning
    • Review content at night (vocally and/or summarize in written word) for all three lectures.
    • Note – by the time you get to Friday, you should have already reviewed Monday’s content three times and it shouldn’t take you long to breeze through it!
  • (^) Saturday/Sunday – allocate about an hour to go through your summaries of the week
  • (^) Since exams are every three weeks, it’s easy to forget the material from week 1 during exam week when you finally sit down to study, thus, maintaining a consistent study schedule will not only enhance your grade for the semester, but it will make your exam week less stressful since you already put the work in already!

Expectations

  • (^) For every 50-minute lecture, it’s expected that you spend about 2-3 hours taking
your own notes and going through the material to fully understand it
  • (^) Do not expect to sit in a 50-minute class and understand everything
  • (^) Use your textbook for a further/deeper understanding of content and ask questions!
  • (^) YOU earn your grade for the semester. I can’t bump you up because you are in
between grades and the higher grade will look better for professional school.
  • (^) Answer questions in class – everyone has a voice, and your voice should be heard!
  • (^) Come to class with a willingness and eagerness to learn.
  • (^) Let’s never forget the inherent difficulty with online learning and we should cherish
the time we have together in a proper classroom setting
  • (^) Most importantly – I want you to learn. I want you take this information with you
and use it as a foundation for further study, you will be informed with knowledge to
positively impact not only yourself, but others around you.
