Carbon as a Source of Energy: Fossil Fuels, Biofuels, and Historical Context, Essays (university) of Chemistry

The role of carbon in various energy sources, including fossil fuels and biofuels. It also provides historical context, such as the impact of world war ii on gasoline consumption and the 1962 pennsylvania mine fire. That carbon is a fundamental component of energy sources like methane, propane, fossil fuels, and biofuels, and that plants play a crucial role in producing these energy sources.

Carbon: Source of Energy
Carbon are everything that use every day. In chemical of methane, the substance is used
to heat up for warm and lighting. In propane, the source of energy use in the propane can use for
grills and fireplaces and these chemical that we use every day have carbon in them. Fossil fuel
which is form the decomposition of natural organisms contain energy which also has a carbon in
it. Fossil fuel is made of the plants that gives of photosynthesis in them. Some of the fossil fuel
are converted into primarily coal fuel oil, and natural from dead plants and animals that would
eat plants. (Herbivores) Research has found the oldest extant non-parasitic fungi called
Neocallimastigomycota which is found in animals that eats plants and grassy plants like sheep
and goat. The fungi is found the guts of the sheep and goats that would eat the plants, because
plants have energy which is the carbon energy need to produce fuels like the fossils fuels.
In 1940s during World War II, people in the United States had to have speed limit from
the government. The reason why they need to have a speed limit, because they felt they were in
consuming the gasoline need for the war. They need this gasoline for necessary reasons
especially for the jeeps, tanks, airplane that would consumed some much of the gasoline need in
WWII at the time. Twenty years after when World War II ended, an accident to town that would
bought death and dangers to those living in this town in Pennsylvania. The “accident” started as
fire and it was suppose intentionally set to burn out a landfill before Labor Day in 1962. The
problem with the landfill was an old strip mine pit connected to a maze of abandoned
underground mining tunnels full of coal which burns know for 50 years. The coal in the fuel had
source of energy which gave the abandoned pit enough energy to keep burning for years.
In Biofuel, is one way having source of energy which also comes from carbon. There are
plants use to make biofuel. Soybean, Animals fats. Going back to the animals they use more the
animals that eat plants than the animals that eat other than plants have more source of energy for
the animals that eat the from the plants. Another Biofuel is the Biodiesel. The Biodiesel has also
have a source energy that come from corn kernel and sugar (glucose, fructose, and Sucrose)
which gives of energy for the fuel. There is also algae that is from the sewer that is collected that
become biomass in to biodiesel. In end biofuel is just of the sources of making all kinds of fuel
that would use in everyday use.
