Abstract This paper will examine the reasons for the and impact of the Chinese Exclusion Act had on Chinese as well as ultimately the culture of the United States. This paper will also demonstrate that Chinese laborers were discriminated against and excluded as immigrants from America because of racism and jealousy.
Introduction This paper is about what the Chinese Immigrants had to go through, their struggles, and how they were mistreated and killed in America. The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was passed prevent Chinese Immigrants from freedom of movement in the US.
Hypothesis While white Americans were xenophobic and feared that Chinese Immigrants would take their jobs because the Chinese laborers were known to be faithful and hardworking people from China. This situation towards the white Americans brought jealousy and excessive greed upon the Chinese laborers.
Conclusion My research explains why the Americans felt xenophobic towards the Chinese Immigrants and so many other cultures and races way in America’s nation.
