Chromatography * Chromatography is a method of separation in which the components to be separated are distributed between two phases, one of these is called a stationary phase and the other is a mobile phase which moves on stationary phase in a definite direction. The component of the mixture redistribute themselves between two phases by a process which may be adsorption, partition, ion exchange or size exclusion. * The stationary phase can be solid or a liquid and the mobile phase can be liquid, gas or a supercritical fluid.
