Instructions for class exercise 2 in stat 2381, statistical methods ii, at the university of texas at austin, fall 2004. Question 1 a. Use MINITAB to perform the same hypothesis you did in Class Exercise (CE) 1. Turn in a printout of the computer output, including a box plot of the data. b. Based on the MINTAB output, write down the conclusion (in English, no Greek, no mathematical symbols) of your hypothesis in Question 1. c. Do all results (value of test statistic, degrees of freedom, p-value, etc.) agree with what you got in CE 1? Do you obtain the same conclusion as you did before?
Question 2 Work out Problem 6 (both parts a. and b.) on P. 472 in your text book using MINITAB. While you should turn in your MINITAB output for reference, you must answer the questions in your own writing.
