Cohesive Form DESCRIPTION Combine elements of a chosen letter from contrasting letter font styles to create two new cohesive forms. OBJECTIVES -Uniting contrasting elements -Contrasting letter proportions and characteristics -Aesthetically pleasing form -Connections and alignments of letter elements PROCEDURE Working with the same letter, type at least two versions of the letter in contrasting fonts. The case of these letters may be different. Study the unique qualities of each letter in the particular font represented. It is best to work with strongly contrasting letter characteristics such as script against sans serif.
Determine which elements should be combined to form a new expressive form. The end result should still appear to be a recognizable letter. Using the software to cut and trim the elements from the letter (release compound paths), combine these to create a new letter form. Dimension the newly constructed letter form to fit within a box 12" x 12". REQUIREMENTS Design two composite letters. SPECIFICATIONS The cohesive form is to be approximately 12" x 12" in dimension and placed on separate pages- 12” x 18”. Include a small sample of the letters in their original fonts.
