General Guidelines for Locating

Facial Features

  • Assume a direct view of the head in an upright position
  • CENTRAL AXIS LINE : An imaginary line running through the center of the forehead, the nose and the mouth - Is always at 90 degrees to the EYE LEVEL LINE
  • THE LENGTH OF THE NOSE : The point at which the nose meets the face above the mouth - Is typically between 1/3 to ½ of the distance between the eye level line and the tip of the chin - Rarely will the length of the nose will be less than 1/3 of this distance or more than ½ of this distance wallpaperstock.netwallpaperstock.netwallpaperstock.net

BETTY EDWARD S

CUT OFF SKULL ERROR

  • Most people think the eye level line is approximately 1/ from the top of the head this is not so
  • The eye level line ( starts at the corner of the eyes ) is approximately in the central part of the head
  • The reason that this usually occurs is because people find certain parts of the human head uninteresting compared to the actual face - Hair line - Top of head - Forehead
  • So they pay less attention to these parts and psychologically assume that they are less important which leads them to perceive these areas of the head to be physically smaller.

General Guidelines for Locating

Facial Features

  • Distance between the eyes in a frontal view is approximately 1 eye width
  • The distance from the outside corner of the eyes to the apparent edge of the head is approximately 1 eye width in a front view
  • In a frontal view of the head the total width at eye level is approximately 5 eye widths wallpaperstock.net
