INFERENCE: A conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.  (^) Inferential thinking is the ability to draw logical conclusions or make deductions based on available information, even when that information isn't explicitly stated. It's a crucial cognitive skill for problem-solving, decision- making, and understanding the world around us.  (^) Inferential thinking involves analyzing, interpreting, and relating different pieces of information to reach a conclusion that isn't directly given.
