Usually, social class determines the probabilities concerning the fate we can expect in life. From the time one is born till his death, opportunities and rewards are affected by class position. For Example, poor nutrition for the mother may affect the health and vigor of the fetus before birth, while poverty thereafter continues to handicap the poor.
