DLA - Defense Logistics Agency (As the nation's combat logistics support agency, the Defense Logistics Agency manages the global supply chain - from raw materials to end user to disposition - for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, 10 combatant commands, other federal agencies, and partner and allied nations.) DoD - Department of Defense (Charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government concerned directly with national security and the United States Armed Forces. The department is the largest employer in the world.) OIG - Office of Inspector General (Independent, objective agency that provides oversight related to the programs and operations of the United States Department of Defense.) DARPA - Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the military.) ARMY - US Army (The land warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is one of the seven uniformed services of the United States.) SOCOM - Special Operations Command

Bureau of Prisons (Responsible for the custody, control, and care of individuals incarcerated in the federal prison system of the United States.) DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration (Tasked with combating drug smuggling and distribution within the United States.) USMS - United States Marshals Service (The Marshals Service is the primary agency for fugitive operations, the protection of officers of the Federal Judiciary, the management of criminal assets, the operation of the United States Federal Witness Protection Program and the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, as well as the execution of federal arrest warrants.) USSS - United States Secret Service (Charged with conducting criminal investigations and protecting the nation's leaders and past leaders.) NAVY (USN) - United States Navy (The naval warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services of the United States. It is the largest and most capable navy in the world and it has been estimated that in terms of tonnage of its active battle fleet alone, it is larger than the next 13 navies combined.) USMC - United States Marine Corps (Responsible for conducting expeditionary and amphibious operations with the United States Navy as well as the Army and Air Force.) TRANSCOM - US Transportation Command (A unified, functional combatant command which provides support to the nine other U.S. combatant commands, the military services, defense agencies and other government organizations.) DFAS - Defense Finance and Accounting Service (Responsible for all payments to service members, employees, vendors, and contractors. It provides business intelligence and finance and accounting information to DOD decision makers. DFAS is also responsible for preparing annual financial statements and the consolidation, standardization, and

modernization of finance and accounting requirements, functions, processes, operations, and systems for DOD.) DHRA - Defense Human Resources Activity (Provides centralized and comprehensive personnel data management and analysis for the entire Department of Defense (DoD). Manages DoD enterprise-wide mission programs ranging from travel management, language and culture, to civilian human resource advisory services. Ensures our Service members and their families receive the care and support they are entitled through multiple and highly visible risk reduction and direct support programs.) DMDC - Defense Manpower Data Center (The central source for identifying, authenticating, authorizing, and providing information on personnel during and after their affiliation with DoD. The one, central access point for information and assistance on DoD entitlements, benefits, and medical readiness for uniformed service members, veterans, and their families.) DCA - Development Credit Authority (Seeks to prove the commercial viability of under-served markets so that lending and investment continues after we exit. Through DCA, more than 600 guarantees between financial institutions and USAID have made up to $5.5 billion in private financing available for more than 350, entrepreneurs around the world.) DCAA - Defense Contract Audit Agency (Established in 1965 to perform all contract audits for the Department of Defense. Previously, the various branches of military service were responsible for their own contract audits. The DCAA's duties include financial and accounting advisory services for the Department of Defense in connection with negotiation, administration and settlement of contracts and subcontracts.) DHS - Department of Homeland Security (Has responsibilities in public security, roughly comparable to the interior or home ministries of other countries. Its stated missions involve anti-terrorism, border security, immigration and customs, cyber security, and disaster prevention and management.[3] It was created in response to the September 11 attacks and is the youngest U.S. cabinet department.) USCIS - US Citizenship and Immigration Services (Administers the country's naturalization and immigration system.)
