CONTENT: -
Introduction:- Design Engineering is wide subject, combination of Designs and En gineering. Design Engineer is a general term that covers multiple engineerin g disciplines including electrical, mechanical, chemical engineer, aeronautica l engineer, civil and structural/building/architectural engineers. The unitin g concept is a focus on applying the engineering design process, in whic h engineers develop new products or processes with a primary emphasis on functional utility. First of all we conclude that our group and the topic we worked on were helped by our guides. Our guide CAPT. Umang Jani is very knowledge able and helpful. They cleared our basic of this topic and provided right di rection during making of this project. Our group is working on an outer skin of personal twin seated utility aircraft. We started this topic to know more about the aircraft structure and how the skin attached with the formers and longerons using stiffener. We dis cussed and agreed to make this project. We took designs from our guide and started working on it. We tried to analyze the requirement of our aircraft and started worki ng on it. We prepared prototype of skin and stiffeners and drilled the hole s on stiffeners, skin, former, longeron till now. We went through many ind ustrial processes during this project like pressure cutting, riveting, drilling etc.
Empathy Mapping: - Empathy mapping is such a canvas which helps to the people who are finding the solution of a problem, how they are attac hed with their product. How their feeling are attached with their solution. It helps the solution that what are the stake holders, the user s, the activities. Its attachment canvas to decide exact us er. Stakeholder of a solution. Activities doing by the product. Empathy mapping canvas can also call attachment canvas. It shows how the problem solver is directly or indirectly atta ched with the solution. In the empathy mapping, our empathy is related to fabricate outer skin and attach it with fuselage using stiffeners and longerons in this semester. We tried doing it our best.
USERS: - The User of our product are
All these peoples are doing some different-different types of acti vities as mentioned following. The retailer, wholesaler sells the product in single and bulk pieces re spectively. Manager takes different-different decision for many things like all kinds of feedback taking, what to do and what not to do. Investors invest their money by buying shares or direct investme nt. Designer designs, researches & make out some new devic e by improvement in old one. STORY BOARDING : - In this Empathy canvas, there are two types of stories avail able as happy stories and sad stories. First we discussed about ha ppy story.
HAPPY: - In first story we might write that if the work might be completed then th ere will be a wave of happiness across aircraft industries and n ormal people. We are making a cheap and efficient skin for the twin seater aircraft because the skin available in market is very costly it is made up of Aluminium alloy. This will cause the fall d own in price of aircraft and average rich person can have their own aircrafts easily. So first story is about a very good goal that gives happiness while working. In second story I want to write about the support and help we get from everywhere. Our guide is happy to explain everything anytime. We also get good response from sheet bending industries to make L- section stiffeners when we went. They shared their knowledg e and worked friendly. Workshop teachers helped a lot when we are using new machines to which we are not quite familiar. And support from every member is good so enjoyed it.
EMPATHY CANVAS :- CONCLUSION :- From the Empathy Canvas, we know about the technologies a nd working scheme related to the sheet fabricating technics and attaching the sheets with aircraft structure for now.
IDEATION:- In the ideation canvas, we provided you the knowledge rel ated to work out by the peoples, their situations, problems d uring the workout and their solutions too.

ACTIVITIES: - In the activities section, we mentioned all the work done by u s and our helpers during this time. First of all, we get idea about our project from our faculty and guide s. Then we have made a plan how to do our work in team of four m embers. After these all we estimated about man power and time requiremen t for our job. By help of our guides, we design the prototype of our project and ta ke all the required dimensions for our project. We decided which kind of sheet we have to use for project and w e cut that sheet with required dimensi ons (Our first element). We went to college workshop and cut the sheet accordi ng t o our required dimensions using hand shear machine. Then we cut the stiffeners (Our second element). After that we drilled hole in the element of required diameter for rivetin g.
PROPS/ POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:- This section of the Ideation Canvas help in carving out different requirement in-line with attempting/ looking forward to have an i dea about addressing a problem Some of the solutions regardin g to the problem. We found the problem about finishing in our pr ototype. We have idea to use better sheet cutting technique to g et nishing.
CONCLUSION :- Ideation canvas is a rough whiteboard where ideas can be stretche d into any limit or dimensions. Ideation session is not aimed at fi nding solutions to the defined problems, but to define the best p ossible problems and stretched out its possible scopes. The fiel d is set and the overall agenda is to build the clones of the idea s and pivots them throughout the canvas so as to discover new possibilities.
