Dietary and Exercise Plan for Congenital Heart Disease, Schemes and Mind Maps of Nutrition

A comprehensive dietary and exercise plan for an individual with congenital heart disease, specifically shone's syndrome. The plan includes a detailed analysis of the individual's dietary intake over two days, a proposed weekly diet plan tailored to their condition, and a structured workout routine aimed at improving cardiovascular health and muscle regeneration. The document also provides scientific support for the chosen exercise regimen and examines the potential timelines and outcomes for the individual's health improvement, both in the case of following the plan and not following it. This detailed plan demonstrates a holistic approach to managing congenital heart disease through a combination of nutritional and physical interventions, making it a valuable resource for individuals with similar conditions.

Analysis of the diet

I have created a diet trying to reduce as much as possible the salt in food

since it is responsible for the heart pumping more blood in a certain time,

increasing blood pressure.

I have also added vegetables and fruits that are a good source of fiber, which

is essential for heart health.

The AHA suggests eating 2 servings of fish, particularly fatty fish, a week. One

serving is 3.5 ounces or 3/4 cup of scaleless or cooked fish.

It should be clarified that among all daily meals the amount of salt can not

exceed 5g since the WHO recommends consuming less than 5 grams (a little

less than a teaspoon) of salt per day (1).

Workout Routine

Timelines

Analysis of the two timelines.

If the individual follows the plan.
In the first weeks your body feels tired
because its caloric intake has been reduced
and the body is adapting to the new one.
At 6 weeks, the scale stabilizes and the
process enters a plateau, for which different
explanations can be given, such as that
metabolic adaptations slow down the body
and cause fewer calories to be burned with
exercise.
As the body adjusts to the new food intake,
normal functions will resume. It should be
noted that, as metabolism recovers, the body
will rehydrate and replenish glycogen stores.
If the individual does not follow the plan.
Generically, we call sedentary lifestyle all those
activities that a person performs sitting or lying
down. Its importance is such that the OMS
(World Health Organization) identifies it as one
of the great global public health problems.
The consequences of a sedentary lifestyle are
directly related to the risk of disease.
On the other hand, high cholesterol can cause a
dangerous accumulation of cholesterol and
other deposits on the walls of the arteries
(atherosclerosis). These deposits (plaques) can
reduce blood flow through your arteries, which
can lead to complications such as: Chest pain.
