Balochistan has been in the midst of insurgency for many years now. It has been the scene of
violent protest in the form of bomb bl
asts, random killings and acts of damage at vital
installations for some time. Normally the tribal chiefs are held responsible for all the chaos in
Balochistan. That is why many times security forces have confronted the Baloch nationalists in
an open armed
conflict, but the situation still remains the same. Obviously there are many other
factors that can be discussed as a reason of this agitation in Balochistan. In this regard you are
required to critically analyze the role of following factors in the polit
ical upheaval of
Balochistan Province.

Economic Exploitation (Poor economic conditions in spite of being rich in natural
resources)
• Distrust of Baloch leaders on Mega infrastructural projects in Balochistan
• Role of External stimulus (Foreign Involvement)
