Benedicaria, a combination of folk magic and Catholicism practiced in
southern Italy and Sicily. Benedicaria means Way of Blessing.
Common practices include candles, prayers, holy water, herbs but
also eggs used for healing and as contra malocchio, or to counter
acts the evil eye.
Egg healing can be found the world over like in Central and South
America, Africa, Philippine, Mediterranean and has traveled over the
world to become folk medicine tradition.
Whether rolling, or tapping, the egg is facilitated around the body
absorbing contrary and harmful energy like a vacuum.
Egg healing is a shamanic practice and is thousands of years old.
Eggs universally viewed as growth, promise, and new life. The shell is
extremely porous not only absorbing liquids, odors but air as well.
Most healing egg rituals involve water and smoke. Smoke and water
for purification, but also for reading the egg. The after the healing, the
egg in broken with in a glass of water and read a lot like tea leaves.
Afterwards, it is discarded now via the toilet; effectively flushing the
negative energy away.

INTERPRETATIONS

  1. Bubbles around the yoke or rising up: Negative energy is around you and is draining your energy. It robs you of strength. Symptoms: dizzy or gets headaches.
  2. Animal or a person in the yolk : Envy around you. If it is an animal or object represents the problem
  3. Pointy images, shapes of needles or nails : Someone has thrown you some shade, evil eye, black magic. Meant for you not to succeed.
  4. Coating over yolk : You are being provoked.
  5. Red, or black spots on the yolk : Illness in the body.
  6. Cloudy, black, or grey yoke: An evil eye has been sent your way.
  7. Spikes facing downwards: You have a lot of anger that you have got let go.
  8. Curled Figures : Illness go for a checkup immediately.
  9. Yoke floats on top or is in the middle: Someone is sending evil by casting magic spells.
  10. Eyes: Someone is jealous of you and is watching you. Discomfort means someone blocks your path.
  11. Geometric Shapes: Triangles are lies you have been telling and your guilt. Squares mean you need to move forward and forget the past.
  12. White halos : You make decisions too quickly. Slow down.
  13. Egg looks cooked: negative energy surrounding you. You need another egg ritual.
  14. Clouds or swirling figures: Emotional problems that are affecting your relationships.
  15. Threads: Gossip is disturbing your life. You should do another egg cleansing.
  16. Silhouettes: The spirits surrounding you want to give you a message.
  17. Cobwebs: Many people are jealous of you and want you to fail.
  18. Flowers: Positive sign. Negative energies dissipating. Good Luck.
