What are the basic human rights? The law of human rights state that: The basic human rights are of the inherit of dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world although if disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people, whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law, whereas it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations. To break that down, everyone human is entitled to all rights and freedoms, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Additionally, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty. TERM 2
Challenge of human rights during world war 2 and the boy in the striped pyjamas Human rights were challenged during world war 2 as people, including the Jewish and the Germans were controlled by Hitler. Jewish people, Homosexuals, the elderly or anyone that didnt have the same beliefs as Hitler did, had no rights what so ever when war broke out in 1939. Because of the hatred specifically towards the Jewish people, Hitler formed a Nazi army which also had most of their human rights taken away from them and were forced to heil Hitler and do whatever he asked. This usually resulted in violent acts towards the others where most of them were killed or tortured until death in horrid places. This can be seen in the boy in the striped pyjamas as Shmuel lives in the concentration camp, gets fed small portions of food that make him appear scrawny and dyeing, referred to as a number rather than a person and is covered in dirt. These are all basic human rights that every person should have but were taken away from the Jewish people during that time and mistreated daily because of their beliefs and living routines. TERM 3
Opinion on how Jewish people were treated I believe Jewish people were gratefully mistreated during world war 2. Because of their religious beliefs and thoughts based upon the world at the time they were slaughtered by the ruler Hitler that formed an army against them which eventually overruled their culture. The Jewish people were specifically targeted by the Nazis amongst gay men and women, darker skinned people and just anyone that did not agree with Hitlers views against these people. These people were stripped of all rights they may have had before the ruling of Adolf Hitler and were treated in ways that no man or women should ever deserve to be treated. I, as well as many other people of that time and now believe that this was wrong and that the high amounts of discrimination towards these people was unnecessary and wrong and those people, the Nazis and Adolf Hitler had no rights themselves to be treating others with such disrespect. TERM 4
Why were the Jews targeted by the Nazis and have less rights than others? - The Jews were targeted by the Nazis because Hitler, a German soldier who fought in the war was devastated when they lost along with all the other remaining soldiers but he believed the reason for their loss was the Jewish people because of their lack of engagement in the war when they actually sent more than 10000 of their own soldiers to the to fight for Europe as well. Because of this hatred towards the Jewish people, Adolf Hitler formed an army that had the same hatred against those people Nazis. The Nazi army grew larger and larger over time which eventually overtook the Jewish people and scaled them from all their rights and were taken away from their homes, separated from their families and most of them were killed. Hitler also believed that all people should be the same, blonde, blue eyed, German and had the same hatred towards the Jewish people as he did. Any person that didnt live up to those standards, was put in that category as the Jewish people and had their rights stripped from them too. This was homosexuals, dark skinned people, gypsies and just anyone that had didnt beliefs to the Nazi army. TERM 5
Have you experienced anything relating to the topic history never repeating itself? As a human rights advocate, I have had many experiences where history has repeated itself which sometimes have positive impacts but can also have negative impacts. Over thousands of years there have been that group of people that arent treated equally amongst the other groups of people, meaning their basic rights are taken away from them and they are constantly neglected. As my time as a human rights advocate, I have seen this exact scenario occur many times, people are fighting for their rights and believe that they should be treated as equals which they should. This is a negatively impacted environment for those people as they are being put down and separated from the other people most likely because of things they cant change just like the Jewish people in the holocaust and their religious beliefs. TERM 7
What was the human rights of the roles of the Nazis, Jews and others that were controlled in world war 2.The Nazi's were required to follow Hitler's orders and be as he asked. When you look at the Nazi's in an over view, they didn't have as many rights as you would expect. They obviously were treated a lot better than the Jewish people, but they were also stripped from their own rights and were forced to do what Hitler, their leader had asked of them other wise they would be just like the jewish people themselves. The jewish people during that time, were stripped of all rights that they had before the second world war. They had nothing, not even their name was theirs to have after being taken by the Nazi's and were referredto as numbers. Comparing both the jews and the Nazi soldiers, they both had little rights when it came to saying what they could do in their life, which is surprising because the nazi people didn't view that way to the people of Germany in that time.
