Position Title: Event Manager Department: Events Position Reports To: Brewers Association Events Director Exempt: ______x____ Non-‐Exempt: ____________ Nature of the Position: Event Manager position is for an experienced, take charge professional with ability to manage administrative, planning and logistics duties in support of a busy special events environment. Qualified candidate will be a highly motivated and organized people person with strong project management, administrative and event experience. The right person for this position will enjoy multi-‐tasking, coordinating and managing various projects. The position requires excellent attention to detail and strong communication and computer skills/aptitude. Position works under the direct supervision of the Event Director and is involved in assistance with coordination and management of various aspects of events as assigned. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, coordinating and providing support services for all Association events. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: project managing event program guides and being main point of contact with Graphics department for event programs and event signage needs; manage Catering requirements for Great American Beer Festival, Craft Brewers Conference and Homebrewers Conference; rooming list management for hotel accommodations at BA events; local committee liaison for HOMEBREWERS CONFERENCE; coordinate glass/gift orders and help continue to build on Sustainability program at all BA events. A specific focus is placed on Homebrewers Conference planning and management. This position also assists in all other areas necessary for the smooth operations of the Events Department.
