from the Greek words "ana," meaning "up," and "tome,"

Anatomy can be divided into two main areas:
Gross anatomy
- refers to the study of anatomical structures that can be
seen with the naked eye. It encompasses the
examination of external and internal organs, bones,
muscles, and other visible components of the body.
Techniques for studying gross anatomy include dissection
(using cadavers), endoscopy (for living organisms), and
radiological imaging methods like X-rays and MRI.
Microscopic anatomy
