Background:
The Stanback Museum and Planetarium currently has a traveling exhibit on the Hubble
Space Telescope. This offers the astronomy class a unique chance to see the many things
that Hubble has helped astronomy to learn. This assignment is designed to give you an
overview of the Hubble exhibit.
Instructions:
Read through the following questions so you know what you will be looking for. Then
you need to go to the Museum and walk through the exhibit. As you go through the
exhibit look at all the displays (notice that most displays have information on both the
front and back sides). Once you have answered all of the questions you will need to have
a staff member initial your worksheet.
The museum is open from 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday. The planetarium
manager, Dr. Elizabeth Mayo, is there most of that time. If she is available, she can give
you a tour of the exhibit and help you guide you to the sections you need if you are
having difficulty.
