Taqwa

DEFINITION 5

Bottled water has a substantial shelf life, which is valuable for

emergency preparedness. Many bottles are made from plastic

because of the availability of it. It is highly convenient for our

complex and rushed lifestyles. When you need to take water on

the go, having a container to transport it in is essential. Plastic

water bottles offer that portability. All you need to do is grab the

bottle and go. Plastic is lightweight and can easily be carried with

you wherever you go.

TERM 6

DEFINITION 6

In case of any emergency, the Federal Emergency Management

Agency recommends that every household should contain a

bottled water supply for each member of the family. The supply

should be enough to last for at least three days. The reasons

behind this is that emergencies can sometimes cause a limitation

in clean water, or even block your water system, so it is best to

keep an emergency pack. It is best to store the supply unopened

and in a cool dark place for the best water quality possible.

TERM 7

DEFINITION 7

Broken remnants of glass are the cause of thousands of serious injuries each year, especially in poor neighborhoods, which is the main reason they were largely replaced by plastic in the first place. The switch was made initially by moms, because kids could carry the bottles safely. A study in distressed Philadelphia neighborhoods showed that broken glass injuries from bottles incurred in public spaces, especially by children, were still quite common. Also, glass bottles in a playground are hazardous because the glass can harm children. Plastic weighs much less than glass and therefore uses less fuel to ship and transport. So by banning water bottles you dont only encourage unhealthy drinks, but it could also lead to using up more glass bottles. TERM 8

DEFINITION 8

BPA is the main component of polycarbonate, the hard, clear

plastic sometimes used to make water bottles. Some research has

shown that BPA can seep into food or beverages from containers

that are made with BPA. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of

possible health effects of BPA on the brain..However, the Food and

Drug Administration (FDA) has said that BPA is safe at the very low

levels that occur in some foods. This assessment is based on

review of hundreds of studies.

TERM 9

Taqwa

DEFINITION 9

If bottled water gets banned, the people that work in the bottled

water industry would lose their jobs. According to the International

Bottled Water Association, 450,000 people work in the bottled

water industry in the United State. Which means 450,000 people

would lose their jobs. Another reason why bottled water shouldn't

be banned is, because homeless people collect water bottles in

exchange for money at recycling centers. If there weren't any

water bottles, homeless and poor people won't be able to get

money.

TERM 10

Leena

DEFINITION 10

Similarly, banning bottled water can lead people to spend a lot of

money. Keeping bottled water is a healthier and more sensible

choice. Stop for a second and think about the situation, because of

our rushed lifestyles, bottled water is useful and also useful for our

well being. Start a plastic bottle repository today to help the

manufacturing of bottled water.
