Step 3: Adding the end walls:
Stand one side wall upright
Secure two of the uncut 10ft boards on the outside of the 4”x4” post on the upright side wall. Use two screws on each board, driving the screw through the 10ft board into the 4” post (see picture to right)
Stand the second end wall upright, and secure the next side of the 10ft boards to this side wall
Repeat for the second side of the bed
Step 2: Side Walls
Lay 2 of the 4”x4” posts on the ground and place 2 of the cut 4 ft 2”x8” boards on top, as in the diagram
Secure each board with two screws on each end, driving the screw through the 4 ft board into the 4” post
Repeat for the second side wall of the bed
Step 1:
Set aside the 10ft 2”x8” boards
Cut 2 of the 8ft 2”x8” boards in half— ~ 4 ft each
Cut the 10ft 4”x4”post in quarters— ~2.5 ft sections
Cut the 10ft 2”x 2” post in quarters— ~2.5 ft sections
3” Screws
