1.INTRODUCTION:
In this research paper we explore the important impact of both tariff and non-tariff obstacles
on international trade law by focusing particularly on the domain of electronic services as it
holds immense importance.By doing this research we seek to shed insight on the difficulties
and possibilities that emerge in the contemporary global economy by investigating the
complex interplay between these restrictions and their consequences on cross-border
commerce in digital services. With the help of this study, we want to better understand how
tariff and non-tariff obstacles affect the development of international trade law in the context
of e-services, enabling wise policy choices and fruitful trade discussions.
IMPORTANCE & SIGNIFICANCE:
Studying how tariff and non-tariff obstacles affect international trade law is crucial, especially
in light of e-services.
As the world becomes increasingly digitally interconnected, understanding the effects of
taxes and regulations on online services can have a direct impact on economic growth and

1.INTRODUCTION:

2.RATIONAL:

The reason why it’s important to look at how tariffs and other barriers affect international trade law (especially when it comes to e-services) is because the global economy is changing so quickly. As the online world gets bigger, things like taxes and rules can really affect how online services work in different countries. By looking at these things, we can figure out what could be holding us back from economic growth and tech innovation. Plus, understanding the details of these issues can help policy makers make better trade agreements that are fair and encourage innovation. So, it’s really important to look into this topic if you want to make sure international trade is fair and progressive in the digital world.

3.OBJECTIVE:

This study aims to assess the impact of tariffs and non-tariffs on international

trade law with a particular focus on e-services. The objectives of the study are

to:

(1) Comprehensive Analysis : assess the various types and implications of

tariffs and other barriers to cross-border electronic trade.

(2 ) Impact Assessment : evaluate the economic, technical, and regulatory

implications of these barriers on domestic and international electronic service

providers and their customers.

(3) Policy Evaluation : assess the effectiveness of current international trade

policies and arrangements in addressing these barriers.

(4) Innovation and Growth : investigate how these barriers affect innovation in

electronic services and their potential to impede or promote economic growth.

(5) Legal Frameworks : analyze the legal framework and dispute resolution

mechanisms for trade disputes related to electronic services, ensuring they are in

line with the digital nature.

(6) Recommendations : provide practical recommendations for policy makers,

international organisations, and businesses to better navigate and mitigate the
