Requirements for Accelerated Degrees: Undergraduate and Postgraduate, Study notes of Law

Undergraduate course requirements

Three year Degrees

 Overall marks of 55% at Higher Secondary School level in relevant academic subjects and achieved a

minimum of 50% in Maths in SSC or

 Polytechnic / College duration of 2 years at 60% plus and achieved a minimum of 50% in Maths in SSC.

Accelerate Degrees – two year duration :

 Overall marks of 65% at Higher Secondary School level in relevant academic subjects and achieved a

minimum of 60% in Maths in SSC or

 Polytechnic / College duration of 2 years at 70% and achieved a minimum of 60% in Maths in SSC.

Postgraduate course requirements

To apply for a postgraduate conversion course e.g. MSc Management (all pathways) or MSc International Marketing at BPP you need to have one of the following:

 Bachelor Degree minimum of 3 years with minimum grade of 55% or

 Postgraduate Diploma at overall level of 50% or

 Taught Masters Degree minimum of 2 years with minimum grade of 55%. A recognised Professional

Qualification or

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered for

some masters programmes.

Undergraduate course requirements

T hree year degrees

 International Baccalaureate, A Levels or Golden GPA or similar in Secondary School Certificate (including Maths) and High School Certificate.

Accelerated degrees - Two year

 International Baccalaureate or A Levels.

Postgraduate course requirements

You need to have one of the following:

 a four year Bachelor degree (1st class, 60% minimum or equivalent GPA)

 Masters Degree (1st class, 60% minimum or equivalent GPA)

 A recognised Professional Qualification

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on

for some masters programmes.

 University Foundation Course (60%) or Sri Lankan A Levels or International Baccalaureate. Maths requirement: Achieved grade C in Maths at O Levels.

Accelerated degrees - Two year

 University Foundation Course (75%) or Sri Lankan A Levels (4 As) or International Baccalaureate. Maths requirement: Achieved grade C in Maths at O Levels.

Postgraduate course requirements

You need to have one of the following:

 Bachelor degree (2.2) or Masters degree

 A recognised Professional Qualification

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on

for some masters programmes.

Undergraduate course requirements

To apply for an undergraduate three year or accelerated course at BPP please note that BPP will apply UCAS tariff points to the calculation of your grades and expect you to have achieved Grade C in Maths at GCSE/O Levels. As such, you should refer to the UCAS points requirements per programme. A recognized foundation qualification. HKALE/A Level and HKDSE equivalent UCAS points (see general entry requirements).

Postgraduate course requirements

You need to have one of the following:

 Bachelors degree with minimum second class lower classification (2:2)

 A recognised HK university degree with GPA 2.5 and above

 A recognised Professional Qualification

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on

for some masters programmes.

 University Foundation Certificate or

 Three STMP Principal Passes. Two well-graded Principal passes may also be considered. We are

accepting STMP Forecast results or

 Polytechnic of other post-secondary College Certificate or

 Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi) or

 UEC (University Examination Certificate) Senior Middle Level with an overall mark of 75% or above or

A1 & A2 Distinction in all exams taken at Senior Middle Level or

 Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.

Accelerated degrees - Two year

 University Foundation Certificate 75% or above or

 Three STMP Principal Passes. Two ‘B’s on Principal passes. We are accepting STMP Forecast results

or

 Polytechnic of other post-secondary College Certificate with Distinction grades or

 Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi) GPA 2.5 or above or

 Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.

To be considered for direct entry into Year 2 of an Undergraduate Bachelors Degree, students need to have one

of the following:

 Polytechnic 3-year Diploma or other post-secondary 3-year Diplomas

 Longer post-SPM courses or courses which presume initial completion of certificate

 Diploma courses offered by private post-secondary colleges

Postgraduate course requirements You need to have one of the following:

 3 or 4-year Bachelor (Second Class Division 2)

 A recognised Professional Qualification

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on

for some masters programmes.

Postgraduate course requirements

You need to have one of the following:

 Bachelor Degree minimum of four years with grades of 60% (GPA 2.8/4; 3.7/5) may be accepted

Postgraduate Diploma at overall level of 50% or above

 Higher Diploma of Technical/Vocational Education (accepted for technical or professional programmes;

minimum grade B/Good/GPA 3.0)

 A recognised Professional Qualification.

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on

for some masters programmes.

 Cameroon A Levels (Anglophone System), including English language subject or

 Cameroon Baccalauréat with an overall score of 12-13 (Assez Bien) or above

 Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.

Accelerated degrees - Two year

 Suitable UK Foundation Course (75% minimum) or

 International Baccalaureate Diploma equivalent UCAS tariff points or

 Cameroon A Levels (Anglophone System) with a minimum of 2 Bs, including English language subject

or

 Cameroon Baccalauréat with an overall score of 14 - 15 or above

 Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.

Postgraduate course requirements

 Licence (Bachelor degree)

 Diplôme d’Etudes Professionnelles Approfondies

 Diplôme d'Ingénieur

 Completed Year one (Level 100) of Ghanaian Bachelor Degree. Student should have GPA at 2.2 level

or above

 With any of the above, the student is also expected to demonstrate having achieved a Pass Grade in

Maths at Secondary School Level.

Accelerated degrees - Two year

 a suitable UK foundation course (75% minimum) or

 International Baccalaureate equivalent UCAS tariff points or

 a national diploma (in a suitable subject) Distinction required or

 Completed Year one (Level 100) of Ghanaian Bachelor Degree. Student should have GPA at 2.5 level

or above

 With any of the above, the student is also expected to demonstrate having achieved a Pass Grade in

Maths at Secondary School Level.

Students with WAEC C6 English may sit BPP’s English language test to assess their ability to meet the English Language requirements for the programme.

Postgraduate course requirements

 Bachelor Degree minimum Bachelor's 2ii Honours/GPA 2.

 A recognised Professional Qualification can be considered

 Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on

for some masters programmes.

 Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or Upper Credit. If HND is not in a subject directly

related to BPP degree programme students may be considered for Yr 1 entry only or

 Completed Year 1 (Level 100) of Nigerian Bachelor Degree. Student should have GPA at 2.2 level or

above

 Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.

Students with the following qualifications may sit BPP’s English language test to assess their ability to meet the English Language requirements for the programme.

Student for Business Degrees must have SSCE (WAEC) English Language C6 or SSCE (NECO) English Language B3. Students for Law Degrees must have a minimum of C4 in the WAEC English Language or B3 in the NECO

Students with the following qualifications may sit BPP’s English language test to assess their ability to meet the English Language requirements for the programme.
