T-Shirt Designs
Let’s face it, one of the most fun things to do, is to make your own graphic and wear it ! Better yet, when other folk dig your design and want to
wear it too...or maybe even buy it ! With the computer, internet and applications like Photoshop and Illustrator, now’s never been a better time to
make your designs, share them and possibly even sell them. Over the last few years, sites like threadless.com and designbyhumans.com have
been creating interesting social communities, where artists, illustrators and designers make t-shirt designs, submit them and then
the community decides what one’s to print and sell.
Check out these sites to get a look at what I’m talking about.

Part II INDEPENDENT T-SHIRT DESIGN

This part of the assignment is simply to design a t-shirt idea and illustrate it. The illustration should be concept oriented, meaning that it should address an issue or idea or cause. It can also be purely decorative or ornamental, but should be creative. Creative concept-oriented design can also be humor- ous–see the example. Look through threadless and designbyhumans above to get an idea of what we’re talking about. These design communities vote on submissons that folks like you and I make. You can reg- ister an login for free at both sites, you’ll get a lot of good ideas and inspiration here. You’ll submit your idea to both websites by Tuesday, November 20th. We’ll have a critique on the work on that day as well.
