SP234 International Relations PLEASE ANSWER TWO QUESTIONS

  1. What does it mean to argue that the process of globalisation has led to the emergence of the world as a ‘shared social space’ and how can we theorise this ‘space’? OR Discuss how we can understand the Cold War in its legacy for contemporary international relations.
  2. Critically examine realism’s assertion that the nation-state is the basic building bloc of international relations (theory and practice) OR Criticially evaluate the idea that while they converge in neo-liberal thought, libreralism and realism are distinct theoretical approaches to International Relations.
  3. Does the Asian values debate challenge ideas about the universality of human rights?
