Reflecting on Learning Outcomes: UNIV 1001 Lonie Miguel University of the People Online Education Strategy Shreya Sarkar October 28, 2024

Reflection on Learning Outcomes: UNIV 1001 I have learned several techniques and insights necessary for my academic path throughout this course. Time management proved to be the most practical tactic I came across. Managing several tasks, peer evaluations, and personal obligations at first difficult, but creating a disciplined calendar raised my output. To keep organized and effectively carry out my goals in next UoPeople courses, I will keep using the technique of prioritizing work depending on dates and difficulty. The procedure and worth of peer evaluation turned out to be the most unexpected knowledge I gained. I first thought of it as a basic need, not understanding the depth of insight it would provide. Reading works of peers and learning about many points of view helped me to see other ways of approaching course subject. The collaborative learning part of this approach shocked me since I had not expected in an online environment. It was enlightening and inspiring to realize that vice versa, constructive criticism helps others flourish. I was not sure about peer assessment at first, worried I may be either too critical or not critical enough. I am now far more at ease and view peer assessment as a useful ability. It has helped me to learn to provide and take comments constructively, which is essential for both career and academic development. Evaluating the work of my peers helped me to see my projects from fresh angles, therefore enhancing my critical thinking and attention to detail. Given the circumstances, UNIV 1001 has given necessary tools to properly negotiate online learning; I am eager to use these approaches in next classes.
