To: Dean of Admissions OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS TOUGALOO COLLEGE TOUGALOO, MS RE: TYLER STANDFORD JONES I am writing this too ask an exception for Tyler Stanford Jones. His final grade point average does not depict what Tyler is capable of in his school work. During this past year Tyler suffered a devastating injury to his ankle while at school. This somewhat distracted him due to the seriousness and the pain he was suffering during class period’s. He was trying to endure the pain by continuing his class attendance. Only later did I find out what he was still dealing with. This injury also caused him not to be able to participate in his favorite sport Baseball. Now that he has completed all of his therapy and has regained the strength in his leg and mental status, he can be focused on his future and that future lies in him being able to attend a prestigious College as Tougaloo. I know that being in the correct educational environment will assist in him being productive person in this society. I am asking that you give him the opportunity to further his education and be able to apply himself to his future endeavors. As a former student I am aware of the importance of a good education, class of 83. Sincerely, Marolyn Kathy Banks-Jones
