A project progress report on the design of an intz water tank, a unique elevated tank used for large quantities of water. The report covers the introduction to the tank, its components, and their dimensions. The components discussed include the top dome, ring beam, cylindrical wall, ring beam at the junction of the cylindrical wall and conical shell, conical slab, bottom dome, ring girder, columns braces, foundations, top ring beam, bottom ring beam, conical dome, bottom circular girder, circular group of columns, and circular girder for raft. A valuable resource for civil engineering students, particularly those studying water supply systems and tank design.

PROJECT PROGRESS PRESENTATION ON “DESIGN OF INTZ WATER TANK”
Introduction to Intz Water Tank Components of Intz Water Tank Dimensions of Intz Water Tank Introduction
1- Top Dome:- The top dome is about 100mm to 150mm thick with reinforcement along the meridians and latitudes. 2- Ring Beam supporting the top dome:- The ring beam is required to resist the horizontal component of the thrust of the dome. 3- Cylindrical wall:- It is designed hoop tension caused due to horizontal water pressure. Components of Intz Water Tank
4- Ring Beam at the junction of the cylindrical wall and the conical shell:- The ring beam is provided to resist the horizontal component of the reaction of the conical wall on the cylindrical wall. 5- Conical Slab:- Designed for hoop tension due to water pressure. 6- Bottom Dome:- The floor can be either circular or domed. 7- The Ring Girder:- Designed to support the tank and its components.
