HOW TO DRAFT A MEMORIAL AND ITS IMPORTANCE FOR

MOOT COURT?

1. IMPORTANT POINTS TO PONDER OVER

 There are few things that we should know when we are appearing for moot court.  Before discussing the memorial, we talk about what is moot court?  Moot court is basically an artificial court in which law students argue in front of judges on imaginary cases.  Mooting is used to enhance the researching skills and intellectual skills.  The judges are usually the law professors.  Mooting is usually a process in which participants (Mooters) analyse a problem, research the relevant law, prepare a written submission that is Memorial, and present the oral arguments before the judges.  Mooting is not just about presenting proposition of law.  You should be familiar with the moot problem and be able to take the judges to the relevant point.  The most important thing in mooting is time management.

2. DRAFTING A MEMORIAL

 First of all, the best way to start a memorial is to read the preposition mamy times and clear your basic understanding regard the problem.  Distribute the issues among team members and the team members can carry out their work accordingly.  In a team coordination is a very important factor.  In every moot, there are two sides –

4. IMPORTANCE OF MOOT COURT

 Mooting helps in overall development of the lawyer. It makes us familiar with the court proceedings.  The most important feature of the mooting is that it helps us to connect and socialized with the people, it gives us the opportunity to get the exposure of the outer world.  So many teams represent themselves in mooting.  Participating in the moot court competition means enhancing researching, writing, intellectual and legal skills because memorial is basically your research.  Mooting helps us to build our confidence in communication and helps us to put in front of judges.  Moot is basically a team work.  It teaches us to how to coordinate with the people of different choice and interest.  Moot help us in your career and for future growth and achievements.  It teaches discipline that is required in various aspects of our life.  Mooting in today’s generation is considered as the most important factor.
