DEFINITION 1 Im live at Parliament Hill where Jeanne Sauve was just appointed governor general of Canada by Pierre Trudeau the Prime Minister. Jeanne dedicated herself to youth, national unity and world peace. Her focus on world peace was to try to weaken the high tension of the Cold War. Jeanne represent her country by internationally representing Canada. TERM 2
DEFINITION 2 In 1972 Jeanne Sauve won the riding and was appointed Minister of States by Pierre Trudeau the Prime Minister. According to the facts shes the only cabinet and first to be appointed as a cabinet minister. Shes was doing such a excellent job that it looks like Jeanne might/will win the next election. TERM 3
DEFINITION 3 Two years past by and Jeanne won the re-election and this time she became minister of the environment and then minister of communications. Jeanne was very talented with brilliant knowledge on Canadian parliament. Sauv felt that she can be better than this and become someone known in history. TERM 4
DEFINITION 4 So she ran again in 1980 to win the riding, that same time Pierre Trudeau won the election. Sauv was elected as the speaker of the House of Commons where people felt she would have a positive impact thanks to Trudeau. TERM 5
DEFINITION 5 What would happened if this event did not exist?If this event never happened there would be a domination of male in parliament, where females would only be at %10 of all members. How come there is so many males running to be politician and no females? There was barely any females in government, so the inspiration to encourage females to go into this field, is not there. Which makes this field male dominated.

DEFINITION 6 This impacted Canada life today because she was the first female Governor General in Canada parliament. This shows that with commitment and dedication you can do anything. Females should not to be afraid of following a passion they truly love. Jeanne Sauv did something that no one did at that time, and that influenced other females to take part in parliament and in the government related fields. TERM 7
DEFINITION 7 In today's society there are many females that are in the government. They are over 88 MPs in parliament. Jeanne is a person that many look up to for what she accomplished in her lifetime. What she did showed society that that not only one gender can take part in the parliament of Canada.
