TERM 4
DEFINITION 4 As a sophomore, I was surprised and honored with earning the most active sophomore award.I helped at the Rome Grange, worked at chapter events, joined the Ag Comm team and Parli team and raised another baby pig, competing at the NWWF. Throughout the year I practiced with both teams and made longlasting friendships, learned skills that allowed me to succeed I ran for chapter office and was elected. TERM 5
DEFINITION 5 Our Parli team won 1st in Sub Districts and Districts. We placed 3rd at State. As a team we worked together and learned how to present, manage our time and had a lot of fun. My Ag Comm team spent many hours working together on our presentation and hoped but didn't know what to expect at State. It was so exciting to win 1st place and have the opportunity to go to Nationals.
Again as a junior I earned the most active junior award. My year began working with my officer team and my Ag Comm Team. Nationals were only a few weeks away. I had learned so much from Ms. Whitcomb and felt like I had exceeded expectations. I worked on Fundraising , the Salmon BBQ, Food Drive, Project Santa Claus Rome Grange Breakfasts and created floral competition prizes. I was busy and enjoying learning something new every day. TERM 7
DEFINITION 7
TERM 8
DEFINITION 8 As soon as I returned home from Nationals I had to get right to work. I would be competing in the Job Interview CDE in December and Parli in March. I placed 8th in Job Interview but I took what I learned and applied it my senior year. I have learned not to give up, just have more preparation the next time. As a junior I earned my Chapter and State Degree and worked on an arranged credit project at home on my barn and greenhouse. I learned more about swine, showing pigs at both the Puget Sound junior livestock show and the Northwest Wa Fair. TERM 9
DEFINITION 9 I am a motivated student who does very well in classes and truly enjoys learning. Currently I am a chapter officer who led the committee to clarify our chapter constitution and worked on various events that benefited our chapter. My favorite was working with our Parent Booster Club to design the advertising for the auction that made so much money, and being at the auction seeing so many people want to help our chapter. TERM 10
DEFINITION 10 I will be competing at state with my Parli team and as an individual I earned 1st place at districts in the Job Interview CDE, the extra preparation paid off and I took the 8th place the year before and turned it into a 1st this year, so I will be competing at state for another chance to attend Nationals. Competing is so much fun that I added a team this year and will compete at State with the Farm management team...FFA has changed me and given me the confidence to try new things and learn and grow from the experiences.
