due by 9/23 @ 11:59p MTX 150 - Percussion Ensemble Fall 2023 - Week 4 Non-Pitched Percussion Component Assignment Over the last few weeks, we have spent a lot of time learning about various types of non-pitched percussion. This assignment allows you to put that knowledge into action. In preparation for competency demonstrations in a couple of weeks, you will create one music therapy experience using non-pitched percussion instruments. Answer the questions below.
For students in the clinical sequence (MTX 291+): For what population are you creating this component? What is your goal (think big domains: physical, cognitive, social, etc.)? What is your objective (within your goal domain, what is the primary purpose of this experience)? Describe your component. Write out detailed steps that depict what the experience is and how you will facilitate it (e.g., “1. SMT will pass out egg shakers). What materials or instruments will you need for this experience to be successful? Brainstorm any challenges that may occur during this experience and how you might intervene or support your clients/patients/students during these challenges.

What materials or instruments will you need for this experience to be successful? Brainstorm any challenges that may occur during this experience and how you might intervene or support your clients/patients/students during these challenges.
