CANCER: FORBIDDEN CURES. Note: This is a very old documentary it was filmed
maybe in the late 70’s or early 80’s. However, the information contained in the
documentary is still accurate and was short enough to have students watch. There are
many more documentaries that are more up-to-date, but several hours in length. I chose
this one because of the shorter duration. Don’t forget to highlight your answers!
1. What are your thoughts regarding this documentary (your initial gut reaction)?
I think the whole system is corrupt as I think it is literally all about who can make the most money
because as at first it seems like some type of cancer conspiracy against big medicine to try and cover up
the cure for cancer in order to keep patients in treatment. This documentary is also clearly dated (as you
said) as now in days with more technological advanced we are that there are many homeopathic options
that are widely accepted in the medical field.
2. Do you think modern medicine (allopathic medicine) ignores the possibility of the body
being able to heal itself if given the right nutrients?
I believe that modern medicine looks past and even dismisses any therapy that isn't based on
what science indicates, medical history, and the care of cancer patients in the past because
again it is all about what makes more money than the actual care for the patients.
3. What are your thoughts about the only legal treatments for cancer being chemotherapy,
radiation, and surgery?
I think that other remedies are out there and should be funded appropriately to run tests. Many
people with cancer are willing to try anything, especially if that means less havoc to their bodies and less
pain to go through with more chances of survival even if the treatment is not a success either. I believe
that for many cancer patients that quality of life and the prolonging of their life is still a major
importance to them over being cured.
