Topic: Women should stay home if they have young children. They
should not have a job or work outside of their house if they have
young children. Do you agree or disagree?
Shelby’s Response:
I agree with this topic. I believe that if women have young children,
they should stay at home full time to take care of the house and kids. For
this situation, I think there are many advantages for both women and
children.
To begin with, families can save a lot of money if the mother stays
home with the children. If both parents work a full time job, they have to
put their children in day care or hire a babysitter so someone can take
care of the children while the parents are at work. Day cares are very
expensive, and a lot of money would go towards babysitting and day
cares if both parents had to go to work. If the mother doesn’t work and
stays home all day, she can watch the children and not spend any money
on day care.
Another advantage to stay at home mothers is that the children can
spend a lot of time with one parent. If both mother and father are working
all day, the children will not see their parents or be able to spend time
with them. Children would be with strangers all day at a day care.
However, if the mother stays home, the children can at least spend time
with one parent all day instead of people they don’t know.
Finally, if a married mother stays home and doesn’t go to work, it is
less stress on her husband. The husband does not have to worry about
his children and if they are okay. Also, the mother can clean the house
and make dinner before the husband comes home. The husband will not
have any worries while he is at work, and he can come home and relax
after a long day.
In conclusion, I think mothers with young children should stay home
and not work full time. Not only is it better for the children, it’s also better
for both the mother and father. They can save money and worry less. I
think there are more advantages than disadvantages for this situation!
