Osteoporosis is systemic skeletal disease characterised by low bone density, a micro-architectural deterioration
of bone tissue , with a consequent increase in bone fragility and susceptibility to fracture.

According to W HO classification.
people with BMI of 2 0 - 30 kg/m^2 have a higher
rate of bone loss than those who are heavier.
Normal weight - 18.5 > BMI < 25
Over weight - 25 > BMI < 30
Obese - BMI >30
2. Medications
3. Systemic condition associated with osteoporosis
includes diabetes mellitus , Hyperparathyroidisim,
hypogonadism, multiple myeloma.
4. Smoking , Alcohol abuse, low bone weight, Hormones.
