Throughout the Company's service area from existing lines of adequate capacity. All customers on this tariff must have Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) with reconnect/disconnect functionality and acceptable network coverage.
For all domestic uses of a residential customer in a separately metered dwelling unit, with the exception of customers who have health or safety risks associated with the loss of service. A residential customer hereunder is defined in the Company’s Rules and Regulations for Electric Service.
Applicable to residential customers who have been in their current residence and have had their electricity priced on a residential tariff over the previous 12 months.
Single phase, 60 hertz, at a standard voltage.
Service hereunder shall be for a period of one year. All eligible Pay by Day offers will be updated at the end of the contract using the previous years’ consumption. Contracts will automatically renew for the following year, unless the customer notifies the Company otherwise.
Monthly Amount = [Expected Monthly Usage * Usage Charges * (1+ Risk Adder %)]
Annual Amount = Sum of the 12 monthly amounts
Pay by Day Daily Price = Annual Amount / number of days in the contract period
Minimum Daily Charge = Pay by Day daily price

Expected Monthly Usage - Customer’s expected monthly energy consumption is calculated based on the customer’s historical metered usage adjusted for normal weather and consumption changes in customer behavior.
Usage Charges – The energy charges from the Pre-Pay Service (PPS) schedule including Environmental Compliance Cost Recovery (ECCR), Nuclear Construction Cost Recovery (NCCR), Demand Side Management Residential (DSM-R) and Fuel Cost Recovery (FCR) charges and other applicable schedules.
Risk Adder % -The adder is used to compensate Georgia Power for risks associated with weather-related consumption as well as the risk associated with non-weather impacts. This adder will not exceed 10%.
Basic Service Charge – As shown in the Pre-Pay Service (PPS) schedule: including ECCR charges, NCCR charges, DSM-R Schedule and other applicable schedules.
Normal Weather - Based on Georgia’s seasonal heating degree-days and cooling degree-days.
The daily amount calculated under this tariff includes the provisions of the Company's effective Environmental Compliance Cost Recovery Schedule, including any applicable adjustments.
The daily amount calculated under this tariff includes the provisions of the Company's effective Nuclear Construction Cost Recovery Schedule, including any applicable adjustments.
The daily amount calculated under this tariff includes the provisions of the Company's effective Demand Side Management Residential Schedule, including any applicable adjustments.
The daily amount calculated under this tariff includes the provisions of the Company's effective Fuel Cost Recovery Schedule, including any applicable adjustments.
The daily amount calculated under this tariff includes the provisions of the Company's effective Municipal Franchise Fee Schedule, including any applicable adjustments.
Qualifying customers certified by the Company will be eligible for a senior citizen discount based upon the definitions found in the Residential Service and Fuel Cost Recovery Schedules. The discount will be applied as a daily credit to customer accounts.
