Due Date: November 11, 2008
Hand In: PowerPoint document as specified (via email) and Handouts
Purpose:
This homework is intended to provide practice with PowerPoint
Description:
This is based on exercise “Be Creative” from Grauer:
1. One interesting way of exploring the potential of presentation graphics is to imagine it
might have been used by historical figures had it been available. Choose any historical
figure or current personality and create at least a six-slide presentation. You could, for
example, show how Columbus might have used PowerPoint to request funding from Queen
Isabella, or how Elvis Presley might have pleaded for his first recording contract. The
content of your presentation should be reasonable, but you don’t have to spend an
inordinate amount of time on research. Just be creative and use your imagination. Use clip
art as appropriate, but don’t overdo it. Place your name on the title slide as a technical
advisor.
2. Email the PowerPoint document to me and hand in the “Handouts”, with 6 slides per page
format
Extra Credit
1. Include a linked Excel chart into your PowerPoint presentation.
