Project Guidelines and Instructions
For the data file you will receive, you will test the following three research hypotheses
and write a “results” paragraph for each one of these results, reporting in APA style the
pertinent information for the particular statistical test.
RH: Those whose parents completed college will be more likely to have a
professional or technical occupation than a service or manual labor occupation.
RH: The older the participant the higher his or her occupational prestige score.
RH: Those who report their life as exciting have more children than those who
report their life as routine or dull.
Remember to include a title page that includes your name and a header with page
numbers. Also include in your project a table or graph for each statistical analysis you
conduct (depending on your data) AND include in your appendices your SPSS output file
for all analyses.
Your project should be typed and double-spaced and stapled together. You do not need a
portfolio folder or binder. The project is due by 5pm on the last day of the term. You can
