II. ELECTIVES AND POLICY FIELD CONCENTRATION (A minimum of 6 credit hours are required)
A minimum of six credit hours of approved elective courses are required. Three credit hours may be for a 100-
level or 200-level PLCY course. The remaining three credit hours must be at the 300-level or above. Please see
list of approved electives in the UNC Catalog. If a course that you would like to take as an elective is not
indicated in the list, please complete the elective course approval form. Students who take at least 9 credit
hours in specific field area may elect for a concentration. Suggested concentrations and courses are described
in the UNC Course Catalog.
