Improper garbage disposal related to inability to make decisions in taking appropriate health action due to lack of knowledge (mean score of 2) and limited garbage collection practice (1%)

GOAL : After 6 months of nursing interventions, the reported case of compliance with effective garbage disposal will increase as evidenced by reported cases of proper garbage disposal from 1.12% to 40%. OBJECTIVE #1 : After 2 months of nursing interventions, at least 85% of the residents in the community will be aware regarding proper garbage disposal including ways on segregation, composting, and recycling as evidenced by an increase of knowledge index from 2 to 6 out of 8. OUTPUT #1 : A. 304 residents of the community who score low on proper garbage disposal knowledge index (score of 2 and below) will increase (6 and above). B. Assessment of Barangay Independence and Awareness. B1. 295 or 85% of community residents raising concerns and making themselves informed regarding proper garbage disposal. B2. At least 322 or 90% of the residents in the community shall have received an informational brochure/pamphlet about proper garbage disposal techniques. ASSUMPTIONS : A. Lack of understanding about proper waste segregation B. Lack of programs for garbage disposal and segregation C. Lack of Material Means D. Lack of community participation E.
