DIFFERENT FOODS FROM PLANTS
We get different foods from plants such as fruits, vegetables, cereals and
pulses.
1. FRUITS:
Fruits are juicy and very healthy, they are sour or sweet. For e.g.
apple,banana,guava,watermelon,mango etc
They can be eaten raw.
2. VEGETABLES:
Vegetables need to be washed ,cut and cooked before we eat them For e.g.
Potato, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, lady’s finger etc
Vegetables such as carrot, pea, and onion can be eaten raw.

DIFFERENT FOODS FROM PLANTS

We get different foods from plants such as fruits, vegetables, cereals and pulses.

1. FRUITS:  Fruits are juicy and very healthy , they are sour or swee t. For e.g. apple,banana,guava,watermelon,mango etc  They can be eaten raw.

2. VEGETABLES:

 Vegetables need to be washed ,cut and cooked before we eat them For e.g. Potato, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, lady’s finger etc  Vegetables such as carrot, pea, and onion can be eaten raw.

3. CEREALS:

 Wheat, rice and corn are seeds or grain that we get from plants. They are known as cereals.

4. PULSES:

 Seeds of some plants that we eat are known as pulses. For e.g. kidney beans, dals and grams.

WE EAT DIFFERENT PARTS OF PLANTS

 When we eat fruits, vegetables, cereals and pulses we are eating different parts of plants.  We get sugar from sugarcane plant.  We get tea and coffee from plants.
