  1. Team purpose and goals: All members of the team are committed to achieving the project's shared goals and recognize the significance of their needed contributions. Discuss with team members the project purpose and the agenda.
  2. Achievable goals: Establish measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely targets. Include SMART goals which will detail the project and its objectives, making it easier to see what needs to be done and when it must be done by to achieve the project’s goals.
  3. Recognize the contributions of each team member: Have a conversation with each person involved in the project about their work experience and areas of expertise. This will help to determine the skills and strengths of each person for the given roles in the project.
  4. Establish understanding of responsibilities and expectation of roles: Facilitate an in-depth comprehension of each person’s responsibility in the project. Discuss the expectations and goals of the project to establish one's success with obligations. Give everyone on the team a distinct job to do so that the project may be carried out effectively.
  5. Decision making: Distribute decision-making authority to maximize the team's ability to generate and implement creative solutions to problems. Instead of putting all the burden on one person, dividing up the work can make life easier for everyone involved.
  6. Building Team Confidence: Create an atmosphere of trust and shared team values so that team members feel safe sharing information and openly supporting one another in pursuit of common goals.
  7. Construct a diverse group: Select a team that represents a diverse range of backgrounds. Better outcomes and efficiency of a project may result from a diverse team's variety of new ideas and viewpoints.
  8. These strategies would be effective as it provides a clear pathway to organize an create an advocacy action plan that helps to develop a Advocacy Action Team (AAT) that can address the issues raised. These steps would establish a successful policy change brought forward by the ATT with advocating for the proposal that will improve the health outcomes of my community.
