1. Reading: Lewis’s Medical-Surgical Nursing: pg. 342-343 Nursing Management: Surgical Wounds; pg. 342 table 19.7 Output from tubes, drains, catheters; pg. 343 table 19.10 nursing
assessment; pg. 344 discharge teaching & planning for discharge and follow-up care.
2. Medications: Hydromorphone, 0.9% Normal Saline, Ampicillin/Sulbactam (Zosyn)
3. Labs: WBC, HGB, HCT
4. Radiology: N/A
5. Skills: Administration of IV Push Medication, Primary and Secondary IV Medication, JP-Drains, Surgical Wound Assessment
Pre-Scenario Questions: Attach answers to this ticket for admission to simulation session. A completed simulation ticket must be submitted in Canvas prior to start of the scheduled
simulation. Failure to submit a completed ticket prior to the start of simulation will result in an automatic clinical absence and you will not be allowed to participate in the schedule
