Describe/discuss changes/improvements you made in the past two years to the design of the degree program, curriculum,courses (additions, deletions, revisions) and/or syllabi based on the results of the assessment? Include any program or coursechanges that were submitted and approved by the University Curriculum Committee during AY 2004-2005, AY 2005-2006 and,so far this AY 2006-2007.Journalism faculty have met and have requested and gotten approved pre-requisites to COMM 3305 and 3327 required for the adv/pr track. Thesechanges took effect Fall 2006.In addition, faculty have added more emphasis on AP style, news and current events into their courses especially in COMM 1315, 3303, 3305, 3327 and4322.The substitution option in the Adv/PR track was eliminated and student have to take both COMM 4334 and COMM 4335.The syllabi of COMM 1313 and 1303 have been standardized. COMM 1313 was standardized in 2002 and COMM 1303 was standardized in Fall 2006.All Communication Students are required to take one of those courses.WebCT has been incorporated in the following classes pertaining to this degree: 3303, 3304, 3305, 3327, 4313, 4321, 4334 and 433.In addition the TV studio is used for the broadcast aspect of 3303.
